Kansans Together
Finding common ground on issues that make Kansas a better place to live.Coming Together
Circumstances of the past few years have driven a wedge between people in our communities. Media sources are no longer unbiased but paid to stoke the malcontent, which party extremists then capitalize on through social media and ‘pundit’ broadcasts. We believe that we are closer than we know on issues and strive to bring Kansans Together by calling out these hypocrisies, highlighting our shared values, and promoting factual information and data.
Mission
Bring Kansans on both sides of the aisle back to the middle by promoting accurate information about current issues that are of mutual interest and importance.
Goal
A more balanced government that will work together for the betterment of all Kansans.
The elections this year will shape the future of Kansas.
Here’s what you should know …
State-wide Elections
Every legislator is up for re-election this year, as well as members of the Board of Education. The Republicans have enjoyed a super-majority of seats in both the House and Senate for over a decade, meaning that they control the agenda on every committee and in both chambers. They can also override any veto attempts by Governor kelly.
Five of ten seats are up for re-election on the Kansas Board of Education, with the future of public schools in the balance. Candidates in each of the races differ greatly on their views about school funding, teacher support and book banning.
Your Vote is Important!
If you have stayed away from politics because it is too contentious we completely understand. Let’s change that by electing representatives who listen and carry out the will of the people.
